This was project which focused on interpreting a song into 7 pages. The song that inspired this was Roadkill by Searows, an important song in my life. My narrative first interprets roadkill literally, focusing on a deer killed on the road. However, a father and daughter discover the doe, and through the act of caring for an animal that is just like any other, killed like any other, it represents the complex relationship of what it is to be a parent, be a child, and to be cared for.
